SWRHS is excited to introduce the Order of the Blue and Gold! In February, the inaugural class of our school's highest academic achievers will be announced. The SWRHS boys' soccer and football teams will both be playing in the playoffs. The Fall Sports playoffs were backed up due to Hurricane Helene in WNC. The soccer team will play at home on Saturday (time and opponent TBD), and the football team will be on the road next Friday (time and opponent TBD). The soccer brackets will be released on Thursday, and the football brackets will be released on Sunday.

SWR will have JV and Varsity Girls Basketball, JV and Varsity Boys Basketball, and Wrestling this Winter. The Winter Sports Dates are listed in the graphics below.

NCHSAA will release soccer and football playoff brackets on Thursday, November 7th. Soccer first-round games are scheduled for Saturday, November 9th, and football first-round games are on Friday, November 15th.

Congratulations to both the middle school and high school All-County Chorus students for their outstanding performances at last night's concert at Journey Church in Asheboro!
Last night, Twelfth-grade student-athletes from Asheboro City Schools and the Randolph County School System were honored as "Unsung Heroes" at the Randolph Sports Council Fall Banquet held at Black Powder Smokehouse in Asheboro. The event featured guest speaker Alvin Battle, a member of the 1983 NCAA Basketball National Championship team from North Carolina State University. Battle inspired attendees with his stories of perseverance and teamwork, celebrating the achievements of these dedicated young athletes who contribute to their schools and communities.

New dates for the Pre-ACT at SWRHS! 10th-grade students received an email today with their updated testing date and location.
Tenth-grade students from across Randolph County recently visited the Richard Petty Education Center at Randolph Community College to explore the diverse certificate, diploma, and associate degree opportunities offered in the Automotive Systems Technology program. The visit included a tour of the Randolph County School System’s bus garage. Wendy Anderson, the RCSS Transportation Director, facilitated engaging hands-on activities with her staff, allowing students to gain insights into various career paths within the automotive industry.

The Southwestern Randolph FFA would like to thank each and every member of our school and community who donated to our supply drive for our neighbors in Western North Carolina. Southwestern Randolph Middle and High FFA and South Davidson FFA were able to deliver 5 trailer loads of human and animal supplies to our destination safely! The supplies that you donated are already arriving in the hands of those who need it most!! For everyone who donated supplies, donated boxes, answered phone calls, hauled supplies, lent a hand, or kept us in your thoughts and prayers, we appreciate you!! Together we made a big difference!! We should all be very proud and thankful more than ever to be Cougars!!
