The RCSS will be closed 1/20/25 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.


We have much Cougar Pride today in one of our SWRHS Alumnus.
Congratulations to Private First Class Sean Adkins, SWRHS Class of 2023, for being awarded the privilege of standing sentry, watching over President Carter as he lies in state in the Capitol Rotunda.

RCSS School Nutrition Services prepares approximately 6,500 breakfast and 10,000 lunch meals for students each school day. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback about our breakfast and lunch menus from parents, teachers, and staff. We will use this feedback to update our menus in order to enhance the school meal experience for our students. The early release day on Friday, December 20 will mark the beginning of our Winter break. Students will return to school on January 2.


The SWRHS Band joined the SWRMS Band and Chorus for a Winter concert last night at SWRMS. All of the groups did an awesome job and we are so proud of them for the hard work and practice it took to prepare for the event. Way to go, Cougar Band!

The Randolph County School System's Career and Technical Education Department held its third annual "From Classroom to Career" event on Friday, November 22, at Journey Church in Asheboro. This Career Expo, designed as part of the college and career pathway, specifically targets high school juniors. With nearly 50 industry partners and various branches of the armed forces present, students had the opportunity to engage with employers and explore the wide range of career opportunities available within the 16 career clusters.










ATTENTION STUDENTS!! Support your Cougar Boys Soccer team on Friday night! Ride the SPIRIT BUS to the game at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, NC.
Details:
- Bus will leave at 4:30pm. If you need to stay after school, you will report to Mrs. Jones's class (Room #349) at dismissal.
- If you are interested in going, please sign up and get a permission slip in the main office by the end of the day Thursday, 11/21.
- To board the bus, you MUST have a signed permission slip AND show proof of digital ticket purchase.
- Tickets for the game must be purchased online at https://gofan.co/event/1727997?schoolId=NC1661 and cost $10 plus service fees.
- Gametime is at 7pm
- Students should bring money for concessions/snacks
- Be sure to dress for the weather!
- Return time to SWRHS is TBD (will probably be around 10:30pm) and students MUST have a ride arranged for when the bus returns to school.

Our Boys Soccer team will play in the State Championship game against Clinton High School on Friday at 7:00pm at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Matthews. Admission to this game is $10 and tickets are only available through the GoFan ticketing site. Be sure to get on and purchase your tickets early to come out and support our guys and coaches! Spectators will be seated in bleachers directly behind our team's bench and will be divided at mid-field. No spectators are allowed on the field at any time.
Due to our soccer team playing on Friday, the basketball games against Asheboro have been rescheduled and will now be played on Monday. JV girls and boys will play at Asheboro at 4:30/6:00 and Varsity girls and boys will play at SWR at 6:00/7:30.
