Jessica Hanes

Education is very important to me, and I believe it to be one of the single most important things in a person’s life.  It is through education that one can grow, and become who they are meant to be.

My education began in Texas as a Military child. By second grade my family had moved back to Randleman where my mother was raised.  I attended Randleman Elementary, Middle, and High school. While at Randleman High School I was on the Varsity Cheerleading Squad, the Cross Country team, an Academic Scholar, and Yearbook Editor.  I graduated from RHS in 2005.  I loved my time in the Randleman school system, and am thrilled to be teaching in the same halls I once walked through as a student.

After high school I continued my education at Western Carolina University.  While at Western I received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I was honored to become a member of Kappa Delta Pi a national honors fraternity for educators. Western Carolina was founded as a teachers college in 1929, and latter expanded to become a university that offers multiple opportunities in higher education.

In 2016 I received a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from UNC at Charlotte.   Education is a field that is always changing and developing.  It is my belief that to be the best teacher for my students I have to constantly be learning, and growing as a teacher.
